Roman Town PC Game Party

We had a wonderful party over the weekend featuring the new PC game called Roman Town by Dig-It Games. This is a game about archeology and is perfect for kids and alot of adults, too. In it, you discover the ancient town of Fossura destroyed in 79 AD by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. You uncover artifacts and learn about Roman life during ancient times. A very interesting and informative aspect of the game is the encyclopedia in the game called Locate Engrossing And Remarkable kNowledge, or L.E.A.R.N.

Thanks again to Dig-It Games and MommyParties for providing all the fun. Included in the party box were water bottles and beanies for everyone, as well as great party recipes. We created the Fossil Juice, with lemonade and gingerale; had the Excavation Station where kids dug into a bowl of dip with celery shovels; and Diggin Dirt Dessert with crushed Oreo cookies for dirt and gummy worms. So much fun, and educational as well. And every kid that attended was able to have their parents order a game for themselves for FREE. Excellent!

MegaBloks Party a BIG HIT

We had a fabulous party this past Sunday, November 21, featuring the wonderful products from MegaBloks.

Here is the whole fleet of MegaBloks toys provided by MommyParties and MegaBloks. In order of those pictured are: Li'l Dumptruck, Li'l Pink Bus, Li'l School Bus, Li'l Steamboat, and Li'l Tractor. Each comes with a 5-6 MegaBloks pieces included to get the playtime started.

These MegaBloks are perfect for ages 1-3, easy for little hands to hold and put together without adult assistance.

Also included with our party kit was the MegaBloks Play n Go Table and the BIG Classic Bag which contained 80 pieces! This BIG bag of MegaBloks also comes in a pink version for little girls.

We also raffled off the ADORABLE Pull Along Musical Pirate Ship to a lucky mom and child.

MegaBloks can easily be found on Amazon.com and at Target and Walmart. They are a great toy for boys and girls age 1-3. My mother came by the party, saw the Li'l Dumptruck and said she wished she had that when SHE was a little girl! I would even think these toys can be played with for many years to come as the child gets older.

Thanks to everyone who attended this wonderful party featuring MegaBloks.

MixPups Party

On September 26, I threw a wonderful and fun party featuring the MixPups. These are the most adorable posable puppy action figures. The clothes and accessories, and even the hair and ears, can be mixed interchangeably. The girls were able to change the clothes, collars, skirts, hair and ears on all the puppies.

Everyone was able to take home their own MixPups, two of them, customized by their kids at the party. I also had a Pawty Van with the exclusive Susie MixPup included which was raffled off during a game at the party. Congratulations to the lucky winner! We did the giveaway among the moms and adults so the lucky girl doesn't know yet that she is getting the Pawty Van for Christmas!!!

Here are pictures below of the beautiful giftbags everyone got to take home with two MixPups in them!

There are also accessories packs that can be purchased separately such as Fairy Fantasy, Run and Play, and Beach Bash.

MixPups come in double packs as seen above and also in single packs. Here are three of the singles packs which had Lucy the Dalmatian, Sophie the Yorkie, and Roxy the Chihuahua.

MixPups are made by Jazwares. You can look up all the information and products at their website: www.jazwares.com/MXP.

The toys are available at Toys R Us. I highly recommend them as do all the girls at the party. They are exciting, adorable, unique and sassy toys for young girls over 3 years old.

I participated in this party thanks to MomSelect and MommyParties. The sponsor, MixPups, sent me all the poseable figures as well as the Pawty Van and Accessories Packs to share with all my mom friends and their little girls. It was a blast! And again, I highly recommend these adorable puppies with their glamorous accessories and their own little dog bed included with the puppies name on it! SO CUTE!!!

More Schleich Party photos

Marween in front of the window in the Shadow Rock Elf House.

Gift bags that everyone got to take home with a Schleich figurine in it. My party was on September 19 and hosted by Schleich to introduce their newest figurines for their Bayala fairy line.

Schleich Bayala figurines party

We had a wonderful party for the kids and their frielends, moms and even grandparents! It was amazing. The Schleich figurines are so amazingly detailed. Check out the photos! The package that arrived was amazing. Here is the list of all the figurines the kids got to play with and take home from Bayala: Florindel, the fairy with the daisy wings; Feya, Standing, with her lacy pink wings; Marween, lying on her horse with striped leggings; Tulon, the wise older fairy with the staff; Ophira, the beauty with the dark wings; Apricum, with the stag horns and stag figurine; Gregis, with the wolf paws and wolf figurine; Noctis, with the leopard figurine; and the grand piece that they are all on is the Elf House Shadow Rock, which is amazingly detailed and realistic, not to mention very easy to assemble!

The kids also got to play with figurines from the animal series from Schleich, including the Percheron Stallion, the Palomino Stallion, and the Lusitano. There was also a cat, a raccoon, a fox, a deer, a tiger, and Swabian-Hall piglet keychains for everyone.

I am so impressed by how detailed these figurines all are. And yet, they are reasonably priced AND available at Target and Toys R Us!

I and the kids and Grandma are so happy to have been invited to participate in this party hosted by MomSelect and MommyParties and sponsored by Schleich, who provided all the materials and figurines for this wonderful party!

Here are the wonderful gift bags everyone got to take home with them. Each bag contained Uncle Ben's Fast and Natural Brown Rice, Uncle Ben's Boil in Bag Brown Rice, and Uncle Ben's Brown Rice, along with coupons and recipes and tips on how to add brown rice to everyday foods.

I also cooked the Chicken Curry in a Hurry (photo above in lefthand corner) with the Uncle Ben's Fast and Natural Brown Rice. The recipe came with the party package sent by Uncle Ben's and Mom Central. I will try to find out how to find the recipe online.
I wrote this review while participating in a Kitchen Kickoff campaign by MomCentral on behalf of Uncle Ben's. MomCentral sent me a gift card and other Uncle Ben's items to thank me for taking the time to participate.
We all had a wonderful time, too!

Tomatoes 2010

Started my tomatoes indoors March 1, 2010.

Planted in larger 2 inch pots April 1, 2010.

Transferred to permanent 14 inch pots on patio May 1, 2010.

Varieties growing this year are Halloween colors, Black and Orange:

Brown Berry--my all time favorite

DeBarao Black--new this year

Black Krim--another fave

Black Prince--an okay flavor, great producer

Black and Red Boar--new this year, really looking forward to it

Russian Persimmon--great cropper, great flavor, look just like a Hachiya persimmon

Orange Russian--multi-colored oxheart with pink and yellow and orange streaks, sweetest tomato I have ever tasted

Golden Jubilee--nice compact plant and well-balanced tomato flavor

Barnyard--first year growing, orange roma type tomato with tangy flavor

Isis Candy Cross--first year growing, cherry tomato with rusty orange color

All are off to a good start. About 2 feet tall now.
